This is marathon #10--for a good cause
Emily and I had agreed to run the Chicago Marathon again after a 15 year break. We met Kevin on a gruelling training run and he taught us about the power of Mercy Home to transform the lives of young people in the city. Beyond helping babies and other charities I adore, I have come to appreciate what Mercy Home can do for youth facing serious challenges in the city. Please give for this race, for this cause.
Mercy Home has saved thousands of young lives
Since 1887, Mercy Home for Boys & Girls has saved thousands of young lives from environments marked by neglect, abuse, and despair. With our help, Mercy Home is able to give our kids the chance to not just survive, but thrive. Mercy Home provides guidance for healing and growth, support to catch up in school, and the tools to build a successful and self-reliant future. Through the years, Mercy Home has served thousands of youth and families through their residential, community care, mentoring, and referral programs.
